The State Emblem was accepted at the Independence Day 1946 and was modified 1987 for the last time. The Emblem is divided into a blue and red field. In the silver part there are three stars. An eagle is in the blue part and a golden lion is in the red part. In the middle, there is a silver oval with a sun. Under the Emblem, a banner with the state name of the Philippines is located ( in Tagalog). | ||||||||||||||||||||

In the year 1596 received there State Emblem, which was the same as the capital Manila. In the year 1905 they created a new emblem, which shown a divided oval on a shield. At the oval there is the emblem of 1596. The shield each self is blue. Under the oval ther is a field with six red pales. On the top there is the American eagle. In the year 1935 a new emblem was adopted. It shows a divided oval with a blue and red part. In the upper part there is a silver field with three stars. The oval shows a tower and a lion. 1946 the current emblem was adopted, only the banner was changing 1980 and 1987. | |||||||||||||||||||||
